  22.                      ABOUT BRAINSTRAIN
  23.  
  24. BrainStrain is a word guessing game.  It's like a cross between
  25. MasterMind and Hangman.  You choose the word length and difficulty
  26. levels, and the computer will choose a word from its word list of
  27. 165 words (4500 words in the Registered Version).
  28.  
  29. To win the game, you must guess the unknown word by guessing words
  30. of the same length as the unknown word.  The computer will tell you
  31. how many letters are common between your guess and the unknown word.
  32. It will also tell you how many letters are in the correct sequence.

  34. By guessing different words and using some logic and deduction, you
  35. should be able to figure out the unknown word.

  39. NOTES ABOUT RUNNING BRAINSTRAIN FOR WINDOWS:
  40.  
  41. 1)   If "Show Help Balloons" is checked in the Help menu, the
  42.      Menu-Access keys (Alt-C, Alt-Q, Alt-H, etc.) will not work if
  43.      the mouse pointer is over any area that causes a Help
  44.      Balloon to appear.
  45.  
  46. 2)   If you click and drag on letters in the scroll window with the
  47.      mouse and you drag past the right edge of the last letter
  48.      column, the words may shift to the left and you may lose the
  49.      left column of letters.  When you release the mouse, the words
  50.      should return to their normal positions.  If they don't, simply
  51.      click on any letter in the scroll window again.
  52.  
  53. 3)   The Windows 3.1 Task Switcher (accessed by pressing ALT-TAB) does
  54.      not function if the BrainStrain window is the active window.
